Arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport, I confirmed my bus ticket to Pattaya. Booking online is useful on busy days when events fill the buses. The bus was scheduled for 11:00, and my seat was number 5.

At check in, the hotel staff explained the room rules: “You request for one big bed, right? But we don’t have one big bed, so we upgrade for you. And we have the one big bed and one small bed inside. In the room no smoking and no durian.”
Central Pattaya Hotel Location And Room Price
The location scored highly because Central Pattaya, the beach, massage shops, and the evening action were close by. The room cost 1,000 Thai Baht including taxes, without breakfast. For a one night stay in the middle of Pattaya, that was a good price. The only drawback was the noise from the festival on the street.
Pattaya Chicken Noodles And Local Food
Before the evening crowds became intense, I walked towards a local restaurant near the hotel. The original chicken noodles and Thai food were available until 8:00 pm, so lunch was the safest time to visit. I ordered chicken noodles without soup, fried rice with shrimp, and mango sticky rice.
The meal cost only 200 Thai Baht. It was a reminder that Pattaya food prices can still be affordable when you eat at local restaurants rather than relying only on tourist venues.
Songkran Water Festival In Pattaya
The final day of Songkran turned the main road into a complete water festival. Even the short walk back to the hotel became a challenge, with water coming from every direction. Some streets were so crowded that moving forward was slow, but the atmosphere was lively and cheerful.
This is one of the most intense places to celebrate Songkran in Pattaya. It happens once a year in April, and the city feels completely different from an ordinary day. The festival is exciting, although it is not the easiest time to stay dry or move around quickly.
Pattaya Massage And Hotel Swimming Pool
After returning to the hotel, I took a shower and had a massage session before the night began. A quiet massage was especially welcome after walking through the festival. The hotel pool was another useful feature and made it easy to relax without leaving the area.
The pool was good for the price, although the main road remained noisy because of the festival. With the room, location, and pool together, the hotel worked well as a practical base for a busy Pattaya weekend.
Pattaya Night Market And Lebanese Dinner
After sunset, Central Pattaya and the nearby food market were crowded. There were plenty of choices, but the festival made eating outside difficult because water was still coming from everywhere. I went inside Central for a proper meal and had Lebanese food.
The dinner cost 341 Thai Baht. Having a shopping centre, food market, and restaurants around the hotel made the evening much easier, especially on a night when the streets were unusually wet and crowded.
Pattaya Walking Street Nightlife During Songkran
Outside Central Pattaya, a local concert was taking place and the main festival street was packed. The crowd was loud, wet, and excited. Walking Street and the surrounding nightlife areas showed a different side of Pattaya, with people celebrating long after dark.
The night was crowded and chaotic, but it was also fun. “There’s another side of you. No one gets to know. Only strangers in the night. It’s where you want to go. I wonder can I love you both?”
Pattaya Songkran Travel Budget And Final Impressions
The figures were straightforward: 1,000 Thai Baht for the hotel, 200 Thai Baht for local food, and 341 Thai Baht for dinner. The hotel was close to Central Pattaya, the beach, food, massage shops, and the nightlife, making it convenient for a short stay.
Pattaya during Songkran is not calm or predictable. It is wet, noisy, crowded, and full of energy. For travellers who want the festival at its most intense, staying near Central Pattaya puts the action right outside the door.
