Two Friends and a Revenge Video in Thailand

My name is John and I’m a 34 year old American guy. This is my story from my most recent vacation to Thailand. My story begins earlier this year with my first ever trip to Thailand. I was in a relationship for five years prior to this and after feeling ready to begin dating again I decided not to limit myself to only one woman in my city or even my own country.

I was initially afraid to travel to Thailand because I’d never been to an Asian country but after reading travel advice over the years I felt prepared enough to not only finally make this trip but to make it alone. For the sake of presenting myself I’ve done a great job of taking care of my body over the years earned what is an impressive amount of savings and salary for someone my age and have never had trouble connecting with amazing women here in the US even some celebrities to boot. But that’s another story.

In March of this year 2023 the opportunity came when I was sent to Tokyo for a business trip and had an extra week before I needed to head home to the West Coast. So I booked a ticket to Bangkok to check it off my bucket list. I remembered you mentioning the app Thai Friendly so while I was in Tokyo I created a profile mentioning that I would be visiting Bangkok for the first time soon.

Despite my success with women in the US I wasn’t sure if I’d be lucky in Thailand after all I don’t speak the language even a bit and I had never heard any experiences from other black American men such as myself. Fortunately for me I was able to make many connections on Thai Friendly with attractive Thai women that spoke great English. After weeding out freelancers and ladyboys I made a strong connection with a woman named Tom. I’ve included her photo here. She had a sizable social media following so I felt confident she wouldn’t be a catfish or behave dangerously if we met.

The plan was to hang out with her exclusively during my entire trip. We agreed to meet on my first Saturday in Bangkok and have lunch at The Commons a place I found on TikTok which is a nice collection of restaurants. We video chatted and messaged each other every day on Instagram (we were using it to communicate since I did not have Line or WhatsApp at the time) to continue to get to know each other. She even introduced me to one of her friends who would be hanging out with us at some point during our nights out.

One day after speaking together for almost a week I hadn’t heard from her until late in the evening when she finally replied that she was sorry for not contacting me that day because she was feeling sick after going out the night before. I simply told her it’s no problem and carried on with my day but again there was no reply. You can imagine my surprise when I opened her Instagram profile to message her the next day and found that she had blocked me out of nowhere. This left me in a tight spot because I was headed to Bangkok the next day and made all my plans there around her. I decided I would figure it out once I arrived but for now nothing could be done.

First Trip Alone to Thailand

When I arrived at the airport I realized catching a taxi and finding my way to the hotel would not be as easy as in Japan. I reached out to the only other person I knew which was the friend she introduced me to let’s call her Rose. I told her about my situation and she offered to meet me at the airport and help me find a hotel.

When she arrived I was very grateful. While traveling together in the taxi I asked Rose if she was hungry and wanted to grab some food together. She agreed and after dropping off my belongings took me somewhere near Sukhumvit Soi 11 for food and playing pool. It was almost 200 a.m. and so there weren’t many other options available. Now at this point we also talked about Tom and I was told by Rose that her and Tom had just recently had a falling out. She didn’t have any info on why Tom blocked me but did say that she had a hot temper so it was no surprise to hear my experience with her.

As we ate and continued to shoot pool we talked more and realized we actually had a lot in common. We discovered we both love PC gaming and after mentioning I was hungry again she offered to cook me something at her place where we could also play some games on her PC. We headed off towards her apartment and plans went accordingly. It was around 400 a.m. when we both started to show signs of tiredness. Then Rose offered me to stay the night. I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel an instant attraction to her when she first arrived to pick me up but that attraction only grew as we related to each other over the course of the night. As you can expect things did end with aerobics and the next morning we made plans to meet again during the week.

Rose and I continued to message each other over the next couple of days. Around the fourth day I got a message from someone I didn’t expect it was Tom. She asked me if I was still in Thailand and wanted to meet. I told her I was but I wanted to know why she blocked me so suddenly. Tom said she was upset that after she told me she wasn’t feeling well I only replied “no problem” but did not ask more about how she was feeling. I apologized for not seeming more concerned and explained to her it was not because of a lack of care I just didn’t think a hangover warranted that kind of inquiry.

Once things were patched up Tom asked me to join her and some other friends at a club that night. I don’t drink at all but I said I would still be happy to join them. She picked me up from my hotel and we set off to meet the others. As we walked inside I noticed Tom attracted a lot of attention from other men at the lounge. I sort of expected this to put it mildly Tom was very blessed below the neck.

We ordered items and overall had a really great night. Tom was as fun and sweet as she had been when we first began talking. One of our plans for the week was to watch a Thai horror movie together because I heard they were even better than Japan‘s. So with the night winding down we went back to my place. We were pretty far into the movie before one thing led to another and another thing led to the bedroom. The aerobics were easily one of the best and most memorable experiences I’ve ever had and well worth the dramatics she stirred up.

Learning About G and Amy

The following day I realized I had a problem. I was now between two ex friends. Not sure how long I would be able to keep this up without letting each other know. When Rose invited me over to play games again later that evening I decided I would tell her then.

I arrived and after breaking all her records in Mario Kart I let her know about my activities the night before including the aerobics with Tom. Rose was understandably upset but also unveiled some new information to me the reason Tom and Rose were no longer speaking was because Tom was secretly involved with one of Rose’s ex boyfriends. What made this even worse is that Tom herself also had a boyfriend at the time. Rose informed me the likely real reason Tom initially cancelled plans to meet me was because her boyfriend was still visiting Thailand and extended his stay until the time I arrived.

After being debriefed and a bit more gaming I went back to my hotel for the night and decided to text and confront Tom about her side of the story. She replied very angrily about my involvement with Rose but then dropped a bombshell of her own. The guy Tom was accused of spending time with was not Rose’s ex boyfriend but actually a guy she was currently involved with. Tom denied ever being intimate with this guy but at this point I could trust neither of them fully. Tom eventually blocked me again and after a couple of days in Bangkok to myself I returned home to the US.

About a week into my return Rose sent me an Instagram message with a link saying Tom’s boyfriend had found out about our activities and in retaliation released a revenge aerobics video on social media.

All in all amidst the insanity I was able to see a lot of really beautiful sights in Thailand eat delicious food enjoy exhibitions and explore the temples. I truly did enjoy my time there. And if I learned anything I know to be a lot more careful of getting wrapped up in other people’s drama and run fast at the first red flag.

Well there you go that’s one of those stories. You always find guys who come out here for the first time they fall into a lot of these traps. Once they’ve been here a few times then they get to learn their ropes and they don’t have any further problems. But these girls it’s the same old story. If you’re dating these kinds of girls you’re gonna have all this drama going on. So you just take it with a pinch of salt.

Fireblade Crash and Three Men Discovery

I have been going to Thailand since 2000. My first trip was to Phuket not much happened that I can remember. I was with an English lady friend at the time staying in the same room as her so obviously didn’t get any external company brought in from the bars.

In 2004 I decided to buy a round the world ticket and leave the UK. I bought a round the world ticket for Thailand Indonesia Philippines Hawaii Australia New Zealand Fiji and a few other places it was that long ago I can’t remember the rest. My first stop was Thailand and I never left.

I was staying in Bangkok for the first time hot as hell. The hotel was dirty cockroaches everywhere it was not very nice. I was starting to really dislike Bangkok the rotten smell on the streets of rotten rubbish rats running around everywhere rubbish just sprawled out over the streets. But luckily for me when I got a taxi one night back to my hotel after drinking the taxi driver asked me if I had ever been to Pattaya before. I told him no I’d never even heard of it. He told me he and his wife were going the next day so that if I wanted a lift he would give me a lift for a bit of money. I agreed and the next day we all went to Pattaya.

I asked him if he knew a hotel where I could stay. He said he would find one for me. When we arrived in Pattaya we spent an hour or so looking for a hotel for me to stay at. I ended up in Jomtien. The room was basic but very clean compared to the one in Bangkok and it was very cheap only 350 baht per night. So back then when the exchange rate was 68 baht per pound the room was only costing £5 per night what an absolute bargain. It had air conditioning a fridge shower toilet TV wardrobe etc. I couldn’t believe it. Still to this day it is only 450 baht. The prices of things in Thailand have all gone up these days but for some reason the hotel prices don’t seem to have gone up much at all in real terms.

Obviously they have but only due to the poor exchange rate.

Anyway back to the story. My first night out I walked down the soi onto Jomtien Beach Road and walked up the road looking for something to do. The first bar I came to was called KR Bar it was on the corner. This became my local and I ended up here every night and became very good friends with all the girls there.

Bangkok Motorcycle Warning

Eventually over the month I spotted a girl I really really liked. She did not work there but was visiting her friend who worked there. Her nickname was Jan. I can’t remember how we actually started talking as it was 20 years ago but we became good friends and always drank together and talked. She was a university student at the time and had an American accent alarm bells ringing today with the experience I have now but this was my first time in Thailand so I had no idea.

After a month or so I can remember one evening on Jomtien Beach Jan her friend and I were talking and all I was thinking about was kissing Jan. In the end I just said “What have I got to lose?” and I grabbed her and kissed her really passionately. She said “Wow you’re a really good kisser I’ve never been kissed like that before.” Her friend immediately got angry and started talking to her in Thai fast. She seemed really worried about something. For some reason I just thought it was a Thai thing i.e. not to kiss in public. Anyway Jan and I became boyfriend and girlfriend.

I left the hotel and paid for an apartment to rent down one of the sois. I would continue to go to KR Bar living the dream drinking a full bottle of Jack Daniels every night. I used to buy the bottle and take it into the bar and pay a small fee then pay for the ice and mixers it was just so much cheaper doing it this way. I lived in Jomtien for a year doing visa runs once a month to Cambodia. Luckily back then you could do this every year. Sadly they changed all the rules so now you cannot do this any longer you can only do border runs a couple of times a year.

The only other way is to use an aircraft then you can do it as many times as you like but for someone not working it’s not really a valid option to fly in and out of the country.

I had bought £5000 spending money with me. It was all in different denominations due to the other countries I was supposed to be visiting so it ended up that on some of the money I got a very bad exchange rate. Oh well never mind I wasn’t bothered at the time. I was having the time of my life. It’s crazy that this amount of money lasted me a year because in 2023 I went to Pattaya and was spending an average of £500 to £800 a night in one go go bar alone down LK Metro this included the lady bar fine all drinks a bit of food sometimes etc. This was extortionate. I couldn’t believe the cost these days due to the bad exchange rate.

Now it’s currently only 38 to 44 baht per pound. In 2004 the bar fines were about 800 to 1000 baht for go go girls and the girls’ company cost 2000 baht long time so about 3000 baht in total. That’s about £44 or $50 US dollars. These days the fines are around 1500 baht plus depending on where you go and the girl costs 5000 baht so a total of at least 6500 baht which is £148 to £171 getting close to $200 US dollars. The prices are crazy they’ve quadrupled. It’s really crazy.

The Motorbike Crash

Anyway back in 2004 I rented a motorbike a Honda CBR Fireblade 1000 RR and would ride this getting around Pattaya. The problem was that the guy who rented the bike told me I had to give him my passport to keep or he would not rent the bike to me. So I did. A few weeks later in the early hours of the morning on Third Road I think it was near an old club called Excite I was going through green traffic lights and three Thai girls on a scooter jumped the red light straight in front of me. I rode right into the side of them. Both bikes were smashed up very very badly. We all ended up in hospital but no serious injuries.

At the scene when the police arrived they said I would be paying all the bike damages and hospital fees. I was like “What the hell? This wasn’t my fault.” There were even witnesses both farang and Thai telling the police it was the girls‘ fault but the police just said “No he farang he can pay.

I had very limited funds by now and as the bike renter had my passport and refused to give it back until the bike was fixed I was completely screwed. I had to call my parents back in the UK for help and they sent me the money for the repairs and hospital fees. It was a very large amount. My parents had saved up this money for me my entire life since I was a child so I would be able to get a deposit on a house. These Thai girls had just taken the whole lot from me due to their stupid red light jumping.

I have no respect for the police now none whatsoever. Any chance they get they will jump all over farangs. Many times I’ve seen 20 to 30 Thais ride past police on scooters with no helmets then one farang without a helmet tries he gets stopped immediately and fined.

Anyway after this incident I was broke no money so I had to go back home to the UK. I purchased a flight back home and went back to work. I started to send my girlfriend Jan 20000 baht per month too. I continued to travel twice a year to be with her. This went on for years until she started getting a bit funny for some reason. Her attitude towards me changed. In the end we broke up.

I then found out that she had a rich American guy who she stayed with in Pattaya he ran a business there. This was the reason why on the beach when I first kissed her her friend got so irate. Anyway at least I then knew she had an American accent. I can laugh about it now but I was really angry at the time. Later on I found out that she was also seeing another guy an English guy at the same time as me and the American guy. He had a dive business in Jomtien. So she was seeing three men at the same time. How much money was she taking home a month? In the end she married the English guy and moved to the UK. Oh well good luck to them.

The Go Go Girl With the Thai Boyfriend

This year after I received a clickbait advert on my Facebook from a go go bar down LK Metro I saw a really beautiful girl. I fell for her instantly. I know from past experiences it was not a good thing to do but I did anyway. I won’t say to what bar I went but I fell for that girl like a total idiot. I bar fined her every night for two weeks. She came back to the hotel we did what you do and she would leave. She refused to stay the whole night. I was not used to this all night time girls should stay the whole night. I was paying her 5000 baht every night for a long time so I obviously wanted her to stay all night but she refused.

I didn’t want to cause a scene at the bar as I had fallen for her big time and I wanted her to be with me as much as possible during my holiday. So this carried on for two weeks. I went home to the UK and I couldn’t get her out of my mind. So I bought another flight ticket back to Thailand a few weeks later and booked off my remaining holidays that year from work. I met the girl again and continued to pay her bar fine every night.

The issues then started. I would get to the go go bar when it opened to make sure I could bar fine her before anyone else could. I would pay her bar fine drink in the bar with her sometimes all night sometimes half the night and we would then go out drinking around Pattaya. The issue started when we were out drinking until 300 a.m. in the morning at the bar she worked at or at a different bar. She then said “Okay I have to go. I have to give my friend a lift home on my motorbike as the bar is closed now.” I was like “Uh no I paid your bar fine. We go to the hotel.” But she refused. I was like “What the hell? Why didn’t you tell me this earlier?” She rambled some crap to me and then left.

I wasn’t happy never in the past has this ever happened.

So the next night I told the go go club manager about it and that I wasn’t happy. This made the girl furious. She was yelling at me in the bar. The next night I went back but she calmed down after a few drinks and I bar fined her again. I took her to the hotel and did what I paid her for. She left and that was it. I asked her for her Facebook info so I could add her. She gave it to me and then I flew out of Thailand to meet an old friend in Cambodia I originally met him in 2005 at KR Bar in Jomtien when I lived there.

While I was there I received a strange message from the go go lady. It said “Do you really love me? Prove it. Tell me how many times we made love. If you love me you will remember. If you love me you should have photos of us together too. Send me all the photos you have of us together to prove you love me and think of me.” I thought this was a bit weird but it was coming from her Facebook account so I didn’t really think anything of it just that she wanted some reassurance. I replied with lots of photos of us together some with her and me in our underwear holding each other in each other’s arms in the hotel.

Well when I got back to Pattaya it was like an automatic bomb had gone off. The lady almost attacked me so much for Thais not showing anger in public. She was yelling in my face angry saying “Why did you tell my boyfriend about us having aerobics and sending photos of us together almost naked together?” I was like “Uh no I told you that it was you who I sent the message to. It was your Facebook account that I sent that to. You gave me your Facebook info and the message to me came from your Facebook account. So don’t blame me it’s not my fault you told your boyfriend your password is it?

She told me if I received another message from that account I was not to talk about anything at all just say we had aerobics once and once only nothing else. She said to say I cannot remember anything else. So finally then I knew why she left early every night why she lied about giving her friend a lift home at 300 a.m. when the bar closed it was to get back to her Thai boyfriend.

I had spent a very large amount of money on this lady the bar drinks bar fines and her fees every day for over a month in total. She had lied to me the entire time. So I’d had enough. When I received another message from her Thai boyfriend I also told him the truth everything. I also told him what she said to me regarding lying to him. Karma does its thing right? I heard they broke up now. The girl has since moved to another go go bar next to the one she worked at. Laugh out loud.

Well you know what can you say about this story? A couple of things. Like I always say he said in the beginning of the story he gave his passport to the person who was renting out the motorcycle. Never do that. Never give any original documents. Take a photocopy. Offer to sign the photocopy. This is 20 years ago so I know it’s different now they will accept photocopies. Because once you give your passport to somebody they’ve basically got you in a barrel haven’t they? You can’t leave the country without your passport. You can’t overstay you could be banned from the kingdom. It’s just not a good idea.

The second thing I’d like to say about this story most people know Pattaya is probably like Las Vegas around the world. Vegas is known for gambling; Pattaya is known for something else you know what I’m talking about. So if you’re going to a place like Pattaya for fun enjoy it for what it is. But you go into these bars you meet these girls the relationships are not going to work most of the time. If you find out these girls have actually got a Thai boyfriend which most of them have or she’s running two or three guys at the same time don’t be surprised because they all do it. That’s why they go to Pattaya to make money. They’re not going there to look for a boyfriend.

If they were looking for a genuine boyfriend they’d go on to Thai Friendly or Tinder or something like that. They go to Pattaya to make money and you know how they make money down there. The more guys they can hook the more money they’re going to make.

Trust Fund House and Sad Ending

This story goes back to about 1997 1998 and it involved a very good friend of mine who’s not around anymore. He was about 10 years older than me he’s passed away now a number of years ago. I’d met him in Nana Plaza quite a few years before that and as I say we became really good friends.

Me and him used to meet up this is obviously I was younger then. We’re talking what 25 years ago? I’m 60 coming up for 64 next April so I was probably around 38 39. I was still going out to go go bars and having fun and that sort of thing. So I’d meet up with him two or three nights a week and we’d go to Nana Plaza Soi Cowboy and have fun we’d drink we’d do the lady drinks and the normal sort of thing you do. And he wasn’t a foolish guy he was quite a clever guy. I won’t give you too much of his background because I don’t want to give anything away he has got a family still. But this guy one night he was quite streetwise and he knew the ways of the girls.

He was single by the way he’d been married and he was divorced.

When you go into Nana Plaza you’ve got the stairs on the left there’s an escalator on the right. The stairs on the left the first floor the first bar you come to is called Spanky’s. Well in the old days that was two bars. The first one was called The Three Roses and then there was a Hog’s Breath next door to it. We used to start off in The Three Roses because it had an outside seating area with a few stools a balcony and you could look over into the plaza. It was good because if we went there about 800 p.m. you could see everybody all the girls coming to work and you’ve got a good view of what was going on. It was just a good place to start and have a drink. So we went there very very regularly.

Now on one particular night we went there there was a new girl that we hadn’t seen before. She was probably they always look younger than they really are but she looked I don’t know 27 26 something like that. Quite an attractive girl. My friend spoke to the mamasan and asked about her and apparently she’d just come down the night before from Isan. She needed to make money and she was dancing in this very very small stage. If you know Nana Plaza you know Spanky’s it’s not huge. Imagine they split it into two so Three Roses was quite a small bar. They had a little stage maybe two or three girls maximum could go on it. She was up there and my friend was quite attracted to her.

He basically asked the mamasan about her. She’d just come down and this excited him because she hadn’t been with any other guys she hadn’t dated any other guys. So he I’ll try and get the story condensed so it doesn’t go on too long. What happened was she finished dancing he invited her for a drink and because she just started there he invited her out. He paid a bar fine and took her out for some food etc. you know the rest. He was very very attracted to her and he actually fell for her. He got into a relationship with this girl and eventually he took her out of the bar and she was living with him for quite a while here quite close to Nana actually. He had an apartment and they were living together.

Girl With a Thai Boyfriend

He found out that she had a young son at the time was about probably seven or eight quite young a boy. Normal story husband had abandoned her when she was quite young. He was very much in love with this girl.

Now eventually he had some problems with some property here in Thailand and he had to leave. It was getting quite dangerous for him again I don’t want to get into too many details but it wasn’t in his interest to stay in Thailand long term. So he decided to pack up everything and go back. He managed to get a visa for this lady I think he married her (I can’t remember because it’s a long time ago) but he might have married her here maybe in England I don’t know. But I think he either took her or got it anyway a long term visa. Her son went back as well. They lived in quite it wasn’t London but it was quite a prominent city quite a nice city and they were living there together.

Now in the meantime and I only found this out after he’d passed away what he’d done was when he was living together in the UK with this girl he met in The Three Roses and her son they were all living happily ever after as they say. Because my friend was a nice guy he had quite a good career and he was fairly he wasn’t wealthy but he was fairly okay. He had substantial savings he had a good pension coming in and he was quite a kind guy. So what he did he set up a kind of trust fund so that the boy her son would have a really good education.

So when he got to he was going to the public schools which were pretty okay in the UK they’re quite good but when he got to a certain age he would go to a private school and he would get further education and he could go on to become something like a doctor or a vet or a really good career. That’s what my friend set up for him. And the cash was put somewhere and that’s how it went.

He also purchased quite a substantial house at the time was worth about £400000 450000 US dollars a nice house. He had quite a substantial sum in the bank. So she was set up her son was due to have a good education and everything was looking good.

Eventually what happened was unfortunately this guy passed away. He got cancer and he died. I went to his funeral. He’d left his partner the girl from The Three Roses sitting in a very nice position. She had a house that had no mortgage or rent on the boy was set her son was set up for a good education there was money in the bank. And she was quite comfortably left off.

Three Men and One Go Go Girl

So what happened after that? Well eventually she sold the house. She took all the money out of the education fund that my friend had left. So she cleared out that account for the education. She spent all the money from his account. Sold the house and got cash for that. Came back to Thailand and she went back to her village. She bought a house. She bought gold. She was splashing the cash. She bought a pickup truck. She was just buying everything for everybody and she was showing off basically in the village.

Eventually if you haven’t got an income stream coming in your money is going to run out. However once you’ve got an issue very shrewd if you’re buying pickup trucks and gold it’s not going to last forever. Buying bottles drinking all sorts going out taking your friends on nights out the money ran out. It was only probably three years after she got back to Thailand that I’d heard that she was working in a bar on Soi 22 a kind of hostess bar. She’d lost her looks a little bit she was now kind of over 30 so she wasn’t looking as young and all the money had gone. She ended up where she began she was working in another bar.

It’s just so sad because my friend had set her up. She could have had a great life. Her son could have had a great education. She just couldn’t handle all the money came back blew the lot and ended up where she started again in a bar.

It’s very hard for us to understand. I can’t say anything more than I actually told this story in one of my early videos. The stories I’m telling you on a Saturday one that I read out about three years ago from Cameron was this very story. But I didn’t think I told it so well back then because I wasn’t so experienced. So what I’ll do I’ll rack my brains and if I can think of any that I know personally not that I’ve been told by somebody else I can remember then I’ll tag them on to the end of the stories each week. That’s if I can remember enough of them.
