One Day & Night in Bangkok: Phrom Phong Itinerary

At 8:00 a.m., you ideally wake up at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. Why? Because of Marriott’s high-level comfort, its own rooftop bar, and its own gateway to a green paradise.
Leave the hotel and use the hotel’s very own shortcut entrance, a special gate to Benjasiri Park. This green little paradise comes with a basketball court, a skate park, street Thai futsal, volleyball, and sport.
It also has some playgrounds, a little lake, and an open-air gym. It’s a wonderful walk to watch people do tai chi, aerobics, workouts, or sports, or play a game, run, sit, read, and enjoy the morning around skyscrapers and skytrains and chaos. You are in the middle of a little green oasis.
Bean 89 Coffee and Sukhumvit Road

At 9:00 a.m., go back to your hotel, but don’t use the shortcut. Go outside, walk along Sukhumvit Road, take a look at your surroundings, get a feel for the area, and then have a little coffee at Bean 89 Coffee.
This is not a café where you can sit inside. No, it’s a street café. It’s a guy outside with a little coffee machine who makes a coffee for you. Very cool.
At 9:30 a.m., walk down the infamous Soi 22 back to your hotel. You will be greeted with many catcalls and “handsome man,” “I love you,” “I remember you,” and “Where are you going?” It’s a nice little confidence boost. Completely fake, but very friendly, funny, and very nice.
Back at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, grab the last chance to have some hotel breakfast. At 11:00 a.m., go to the pool, swim, read, listen to some music, chillax, and do what you like.
Tribe Sky Beach Club at EmSphere Mall

At 1:00 p.m., Bangkok is hot. There’s an amazing option because this area is EmSphere Mall, with an IKEA on top and a lot of great food options and shops. It also has a beach club with a pool. It’s Tribe Sky Beach Club.
You can either go to the park and go there, enter through the mall, or go the long way and enter there. It is important to go to this end of the mall because this elevator takes you to the Sky Beach Club. The others don’t.
On the fifth floor, there’s no sand, but it looks like a beach club. There are people in the pool, and it’s overlooking the park. You can rent daybeds and eat or drink something. It’s wonderful. It’s a bit more expensive, but nothing completely insane or out of this world.
Midday Break and the Evening at Benjasiri Park

At 3:00 p.m., go back to your hotel, sleep for two hours, and take a midday break or a little nap. That’s always good because the night is long and heavy.
At 5:30 p.m., go back to the park again. Exercise, run, or walk around. Why again? Because the evening is a different story. The evening is full of people, including more beautiful people and the after-work crowd.
At 6:00 p.m., the national anthem plays. Everyone stops, freezes, stands still, and stands up. Then you continue.
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Rooftop Bar

At 6:30 p.m., go back to your hotel, drink some water, shower, change, and visit the hotel’s own rooftop bar. It has a very good drink menu, a very good gin menu, very friendly staff, and fantastic views of the park, for example.
Khon Boat Noodles, Auto Bar, and Midori Music Bar

At around 8:00 p.m., walk outside the hotel to the left and go to Khon Boat Noodles. It’s not street food; it’s a restaurant. It’s fantastic. They have noodle soups, khao soi, and so on. Dinner, including beer, costs 5 to 10 dollars or so.
If you’re a single man, you could just walk 10 meters and enjoy a 90-minute or two-hour massage at Sky Massage, or the same thing at Sherry Massage, also very good. If you’re not a man or don’t want that, bars and music may be more your style, so go to Auto Bar. It’s a fantastic live music bar with a good name and hard rock.
If you’re done with that, check out Midori, another live music bar. Stay there, enjoy yourself, talk to people, engage, flirt, have fun, enjoy the views, and then go home.
Along Sukhumvit 22 are a lot of options to extend the night, and you’re back in your room. That’s a perfect day and night at Phrom Phong.
