How to Meet Thai Women in Thailand

There isn’t a definitive answer to that question because Thailand is no different to any other country.

I think what I’ll do first is I’ll tell you a couple of mistakes that foreigners make when they go to Thailand. A lot of them will go on vacation for a couple of weeks, they’ll hit the bars for one or two nights, and they’ll assume that all Thai girls are available for a fee. That’s what they think which is absolutely not true.

Think about it in your own country. If you’re from the US, the UK, wherever you’re from each town has got a small percentage of those kind of girls who are working. But the majority of women in your town are all decent, normal women. It’s no different in Thailand. It’s very, very wrong to assume that every woman in Thailand is working.

I’ve spoken with Thai women about this. I wanted to get their opinions on these guys who come over there and think that every single girl in Thailand is available for a fee. I asked them, “What’s your opinion on this? When you hear this, what do you think?”

They don’t really get offended so much they just laugh it off and say, “They’re ignorant.” The people who think that are actually ignorant.

Numbers Put the Situation in Perspective

Just to give you some numbers I’ll throw a couple of numbers out there.

The population of Thailand is nearly 10 million. The World Health Organization estimated that the total number of people in the sex trade in Thailand is less than 150,000. That’s everything bars, massage, everything.

So you can see from those numbers that it’s a very small percentage of what the country’s about. And as I’ve just said I don’t want to be repetitive you shouldn’t go to Thailand and assume that all Thai women are available for a fee. That’s not true.

Places to Meet Thai Women Outside Bars

So back to the question: where do you find nice Thai women?

It’s a difficult one, and it’s not something that anybody can answer really. Think about your own country where would you find nice girls?

Well, you’re certainly not going to find them in go go bars. You’re certainly not going to find them in beer bars. And you certainly won’t find them in Pattaya.

I’m sure I’ll get comments from guys who’ll say, “I met a girl in a beer bar in Pattaya. We’ve been married for 20 years and we’ve got three kids.” And yeah, okay I’m not saying it’s absolutely impossible.

But if that’s the way you’re going to try and find a nice girl if you’re going to go to Pattaya, go to a go go bar, take out a few girls, and hope you get lucky then really, you’re gambling on a long shot, aren’t you?

If you were betting on the horses, you’re not going to bet on a horse that’s 50 to 1 that’s got no chance of winning the race, are you? But when you take these girls out at the bar, that’s exactly what you’re doing. It’s not a good idea to try and find a girlfriend from a beer bar or a go go bar.

Why These Stories Often Sound Negative

I know a lot of my stories are negative people do tell me, and I am aware of that. I could change the endings and say they went off and bought some furry kittens and everybody lived happily ever after. But the thing is, these stories are real stories. They’re from guys who send them to me. I’ve given you stories from my experience.

Unfortunately, most of these guys have dated bar girls, and it just goes with the territory that’s how they end, which makes them negative stories.

The Language Barrier Creates Problems

As far as meeting nice Thai girls, one of the biggest obstacles you’re going to come across is the language barrier.

When you go into bars like somewhere like Nana Plaza on Sukhumvit Soi 4, it’s very tempting to get into a relationship with somebody if you’ve not been there before. The reason being is that most of these girls speak very, very good English quite good English, anyway.

When you meet these girls and you sit and talk to them, they can hold a conversation with you. Okay, they might talk nonsense most of the time, but they can speak English. It’s very, very convenient let’s say that it’s convenient for you because there isn’t a language obstacle. So that becomes very tempting to get involved.

If you’re meeting normal Thai girls who don’t work in the bars, a lot of the time the ones who can speak very good English are normally highly educated. And normally they’ll have a Thai husband who’s also highly educated, or they’ll be in a quite powerful job a quite good job. You know, solicitor, barrister, or working high up in a bank something like that.

So the chances of meeting one of those types of girls it’s not impossible, but it’s unlikely.

Other Opportunities to Meet Thai Women

So what are your other opportunities? Well, there are more opportunities in Thailand. It’s not like the UK and America and Australia, I guess. There are a lot more opportunities to meet girls. They are willing to date there isn’t really any hang ups about going out with a foreigner.

But there is a cultural difference you have to remember that. And as I say, the biggest obstacle is the language barrier. That’s going to be the biggest problem.

But with all that brushed aside, you still have a lot of opportunities.

So where would you meet these girls? Obviously, there are a lot of girls working in shopping malls, working in restaurants anywhere.

The answer I say to these guys I’m no expert, I’m just giving you my opinion but when guys write to me and say, “Where can I meet a nice Thai girl?” I’ll basically tell them what I’m telling you now: there is no definitive answer, but do not try to find them in a beer bar in Nana Plaza or something like that.

There are nice Thai girls all over Thailand. Like I say, shopping malls anywhere where a Thai is working.

Approaching Women Respectfully

The thing is, if she’s in a touristy area, she probably will have a basic grasp of the language because a lot of the people who come into her venue (her retail outlet, for instance) are foreigners. Let’s just say for example she works in Starbucks on Sukhumvit. If she’s working in Starbucks, a majority of her customers are going to be foreigners especially the Starbucks opposite Soi 4. So she’ll probably speak quite good English.

Those sort of girls you have an opportunity. But you can’t go steaming in like a bull in a china shop. It’s no different from your country.

If you meet a nice girl that you see on a daily or weekly basis you buy a book from her shop, or you go for a coffee and you quite like her then you have to go in slowly, like you would anywhere else, and just feel it out. Maybe ask her to come out on a date, something like that. It’s no different to your country, guys.

A Note About Dating Agencies

As I said at the beginning of the video, one of the biggest mistakes people make is they just think every woman in Thailand is available and it’s certainly not the case.

If you are going there and considering dating agencies I haven’t got much to say about them. I did make a video on dating agencies. Unfortunately, the bigger dating agencies a lot of the girls who are signed up on the books have worked in bars or are still working in bars, and they’re trying to meet somebody to get out of it.

There are some nice girls in these agencies as well, but be very, very careful, guys.

I think if they don’t speak a lot of English and maybe they’ve already had a child from a bad marriage, then it’s probably safe to say she’s probably a decent girl and a safe bet. But if you meet one of these girls from a dating agency and she speaks very, very fluent English, then I would say just be cautious.
