One Day and Night in Bangkok: Asok Itinerary
You are in Bangkok. You are staying close to the Asok station and you want to have a great day around your hotel, but you don’t know what’s around you and what’s worth your time and money.
This is a 16-hour blueprint for one day and night in Bangkok, built entirely around your station. Eliminate Bangkok’s brutal traffic gridlock, make effortless midday pool and nap breaks, and have a short walk home at night.
Grande Centre Point Terminal 21

At 8:00 a.m., you ideally wake up in this hotel, Grande Centre Point Terminal 21. It’s directly above a BTS Skytrain station and has its own access to the station.
It sits above a shopping mall and a food court, and it has a wonderful gym, a cool pool area, tennis courts, and badminton courts. It’s in the middle of the action.
Your first action of the day is to leave the hotel. Go outside to the Skytrain area, take the skywalk, and walk down to the giant park, Benjakitti Park.
This is an amazing park. The giant lake is already impressive, but the jungle-like forest and swamp area with skywalks is breathtaking, enormous, and fantastic. Go there and walk around early in the morning. It’s not too hot. Exercise, go for a run, watch the people, and enjoy nature in the middle of a skyscraper business area.
Morning Coffee Near Asok

At 9:00 a.m., walk back to your hotel, with a short stop along the way to grab a coffee to go.
At 9:15, go back to your room. Take a bathroom break, shower, and change.
At 9:30, have breakfast at the hotel. At 10:00 a.m., go upstairs to the pool, swim, read, listen to some music, and enjoy yourself.
Makkha Health & Spa

Around noon, Bangkok is getting hot. Time for a little midday break. First go back to your room, change into street clothes, and then go to Makkha Health & Spa.
Go there and enjoy a three-hour spa package with a body salt scrub, aroma oil massage, and a facial treatment.
It’s expensive, but three hours of absolute heaven, and you look very good afterwards.
At 3 p.m., go back to your hotel. After three hours of massage, you can sleep or go to the pool. Do whatever you like.
Benjakitti Park Golden Hour

At 5:30, go back to Benjakitti Park. You have to see it during the golden hour and blue hour, when many people are there after work for a workout, aerobics, or a run. It’s fantastic.
At 6 p.m., the national anthem plays. Everyone stops and stands still. You should too. It’s a very good moment.
At 6:30, go back to the hotel, drink some water, shower, change, and get ready for the night.
Pork Soup and Rice at Soi 23

At 7:30, you can walk through Soi Cowboy, but first you need to have some dinner. My favorite dinner spot is pork soup and rice at Soi 23.
You could also go to the Pier 21 food court inside Terminal 21, but this is outside. This is street food. This is real Bangkok. It’s very good.
Noodles, wonton, pork, and crispy pork belly. Fantastic. $1 to $2. It’s ideally located near Soi Cowboy.
Penny Black Live Music

At 8:30, don’t go into one of the fun bars yet. It’s too early. Go to live music. My favorite is Penny Black, but there’s also Country Road. I always end up in Penny Black. Nothing against Country Road.
Have one or two beers, then at around 9:00 p.m., walk through Soi Cowboy.
Crazy House and Supernova in Soi Cowboy

Your first stop is Crazy House at around 9:30 p.m. Have one or two beers, nothing else. Look, watch, and enjoy.
Then go around the corner to Supernova. It has the same owner and dress code. It is a little more stylish and upscale-looking, but the beer is extremely cheap. Happy hour is before 10 p.m.
Then go to Shark at 10 p.m. It is really good, with friendly staff, friendly mamas, friendly girls, and beautiful girls.
Be a bit careful. A lady drink round is two lady drinks, so it immediately costs almost 500. But it’s good.
Walking Back Home at Midnight

At midnight, walk back home through Soi Cowboy. You are back in your hotel. There are shops and food possibilities all around Asok, so you don’t have to leave the area.
