Foreign Nominee Property Crackdown
Hua Hin Foreign Nominee Property Crackdown

There’s a big big wave of news at the moment in terms of the fact that down in Hua Hin it says here there’s a crackdown in Hua Hin against dozens of foreigners allegedly using Thai nominees to hide land worth 300 million baht. Now this goes on to the subject about owning land out here, but you know, we can’t own land. Yes, you can have a company that can own the land, a Thai company. However, you need to be a bit stricter and on the ball with this one.
It says the the Royal Thai Police have rolled out a phase six of their nationwide campaign against foreign nominee networks targeting companies and property projects in Hua Hin suspected of using Thai nationals as proxy shareholders for foreign investors. You know, this is a situation it does happen. It says investigation revealed 489 companies potentially involved in nominee arrangements with 33 firms linked to land concealment. These inside entities collectively control 39 plots of land properties worth about 300 million baht.
Now here’s the thing. So if you if you’ve got the house and it is under this situation and they do come and take it away, what happens to you if you’re in there? You know, you if you’ve got to would obviously you’re going to have to leave, I suppose. But so yeah.
It says authorities have filed 33 criminal cases against 84 suspects, secured 15 search warrants and obtained 45 arrest warrants for foreign nationals. During the latest operation, police arrested 14 suspects of multiple nationalities and seized extensive evidence including company registration papers, accounting records, computers, mobile phones, and electronic data. So, there you are. Yeah, they’re they know and if they’re hitting Hua Hin, what’s to say they’re not going to come around other parts of the country?
I’m sure they will. but yes, the interesting point because you know, if you are in a house that is potentially been purchased under a rogue system, what will that leave you in terms of where do you have to go? What what’s your situation? What what rights do you have if you have any rights?
You probably don’t.
Pattaya Crosswalk Police Incident

Now, this one, I got to say when I went to see Martin at Cornerstone Real Estate Agent recently, the video coming out where we went to three different properties, that’s a different story. But opposite, they’re opposite Big C at the top of South Pattaya Road. Big C used to be green, green, green, green , green. It’s now purple, pink, and white.
I don’t know what’s going on with that’s going to be a unique one-off unit that they’ve changed the color of. I don’t know. Maybe they’ll spread out nationwide. I don’t understand the reasoning behind the change.
Uh you can go over there and ask, but no one seems to know anything as to why they’re doing it. They’re just told to told to change it. So, yeah, I wonder what you think, guys. Do you reckon there’s going to be a new wave of purple and pink around the city?
Watch this space. And they’re hitting the Pattaya news. It says a Chinese tourist clashed with police in Pattayafter a near miss at a crosswalk. Tried to flee and crashed into the official vehicle.
Uh you know, with these crossroads, guys, you know, please, please, please. I know back home red means stop, green means go. I get that 100%. However, out here, please, guys, do not take that as as a verbatim because unfortunately, red just means well, if there’s no one there, I can’t be bothered to stop.
I’ll just go through it.
Legend Kingdomm Project on South Pattaya Road

It says here, Chinese tourist riding a motorcycle without helmets nearly struck pedestrians at a crosswalk in front of the Pattaya City Police Station on Tuesday evening before arguing with the officers and crashing into the parked government vehicle while attempting to I mean you I don’t know, you know, Beach Road listen, everybody knows Beach Road is a massive no-no in terms of what riding around without a helmet cuz the police are there all the time. So number one, he’s put himself in the firing line without without wearing a helmet. Num ber two, he’s nearly hit pedestrians crossing the crossing right near the police station. Number three, he’s argued with the police and as he’s tried to escape he’s banging into the back of their truck.
It said officers spotted two Chinese tourists riding a motorcycle bearing Chonburi license plate. Neither rider was wearing a helmet. The pair rode through the crosswalk areas pedestrians were crossing nearly causing an accident. Police stopped the motorcycle for inspection requested driver’s license and issued a warning to exercise greater caution particularly near crosswalks used by the public and tourists.
During the check the tourist became agitated and argued with the officers. One then attempted to ride away from the scene and in the process the motorcycle clipped a parked official vehicle damaging both the bike and the government car. Bystanders filmed the entire sequence from initial stop through to the attempt to escape and collision. Get your hands in your pocket, boys.
It’s going to be a deep deep dig. Oh my lord. And talking about digging, the Legend Kingdomm at the top of South Pattaya Road, honestly, you know, location location location. I got to say South Pattaya Road on the junction of Sukhumvit Road, Sukhumvit Road yep, totally get it.
South Pattaya Road I think it’s going to cause chaos. I think it’s going to cause absolute chaos when it opens. However, looking at it, it really does look colossal in size and I think it’s going to be an incredible project when it’s finished. And no, I won’t be like all other well, not all that’s unfair to say.
I won’t be li ke some YouTubers trying to rush in and get the first clips.
Pattaya International Film Festival

Look at me, I’m first. I don’t give a toss about it. I’ll wait until it’s actually set in stone and it’s all done properly and then we’ll have a look at it and I’ll bring it to the channel for you. But it does look insanely incredible.
The size of it is huge and these big pole stanchion things guess that’s for flumes and stuff etc. But yeah, watch this space on that one, guys. that’s going to be something special. What do you think though, guys?
Good idea or bad idea? You know, they’ve invested billions, but I think the location of Sukhumvit with South Pattaya being one of the main three roads that lead into the city to cause that kind of congestion right there, I think it’s going to it could well be a bit of a problem. But anyway, it’s not my decision. now, if you’re someone that likes the the films, the inaugural Pattaya International Film Festival is set to take place on the 22nd to the 30th of August, bringing a week week of film screenings, special events, and international guests to the city.
